The written word is the focus of my life.
I read omnivorously.
I write regularly.
I spent 30 years as a professional librarian and archivist.
Now that I'm in retirement,
I work part-time as a freelance editor and book indexer,
and I occasionally sell books on eBay
(mostly to offset what I buy).

Of course, I'm interested in other things, too —
genealogy, history, food, stamp collecting, travel.

And a couple years ago, I became editor of
The Louisiana Genealogical Register.

But my main thing is always books.
